PARAMARIBO, SURINAME:  Enhancing areas of cooperation was the main topic of the meeting of Ambassador Marichu Mauro and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Suriname, Yldiz Pollack-Beighle when they met on 27 July 2018 in the Surinamese capital, Paramaribo. 

PARAMARIBO, SURINAME: Ambassador Marichu Mauro met with members of the Filipino community in Suriname on 29 July 2018 in the capital city of Paramaribo.

Non-Resident Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Suriname, Marichu Mauro presented her Letter of Credence to Surinamese President Desiré Bouterse on 30 July 2018 at the Presidential Palace in an official ceremony that included full military honors with the Philippine national anthem played in the background by the Suriname Military Band.

The Philippines assumed the Chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee in Brasília (ACB).

As part of its Gender and Development (GAD) Program,  Brasilia PE  held a talk on Brazilian labor law on Sunday, 22 July 2018, at the Chancery.

Brasilia PE held a consular outreach mission at the Nossa Senhora da Paz Parish in Liberdade, São Paulo, Brazil, on 14-15 July 2018. The mobile consular team was able to process the following: 33 passport applications, 16 OAV registrations, 3 civil registration reports and notarials.

 The Philippine Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil recited the Loyalty Pledge of an Advocate on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) during its flag-raising ceremony on 16 July 2018 ahead of the Philippines’ observance of the 40th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week.

Non-resident Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Colombia, H.E. Marichu Mauro presented her Letter of Credence to Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos on 10 July 2018 at Palacio de Nariño.
