Philippine Embassy and the Filipino Community in Brasilia celebrate National Month

On 9 March 2025 the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia and the Filipino Association of Brazil celebrated National Women’s Month with the Filipino Community in Brasilia, anchored on the subtheme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas”. Ambassador Joseph Gerard Angeles shared in his opening statement the progress that has been done towards women empowerment and gender equality. He further stressed the existing challenges women face, especially of Filipino women overseas. Third Secretary and Vice Consul Bien Janine Alfaro, the Embassy’s Gender and Development Focal Point Officer, also shared the Philippines’ various policies and programs to empower and protect women’s rights. Some members of the community also shared their stories as an immigrant in Brazil and the challenges they faced living in a different country. The event was organized by the Embassy and the Filipino Association of Brazil. END.

ONLINE VOTING AND COUNTING SYSTEM

The mode of voting determined by the COMELEC for overseas voters under the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia for purposes of the 2025 National Elections is ONLINE VOTING.

To vote online, you need to:

be a registered overseas voter
must be pre-enrolled as online voter before the 30-day overseas voting period
use your mobile device, computer, or tablet, you can vote during the overseas election period

Important dates to remember:

Pre-enrollment: To pre-enroll, visit the www.comelec.gov.ph and prepare your active e-mail address, phone number, and Philippine passport. The pre-enrollment period is from March 20 to May 7, 2025
Voting Period: The election period is from April 13, 2025 (local time) to May 12, 2025 (7PM Philippine Standard time)

National Registry of Overseas Voters

In compliance with Sections 58 and 59 Part IX of COMELEC Resolution No. 10833 promulgated on 07 September 2022, the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia wishes to share the following links to the COMELEC Website for the lists of overseas voters qualified to vote for purposes of the 2025 National and Local Elections:

The mode of voting determined by the COMELEC for overseas voters under the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia for purposes of the 2025 National Elections is ONLINE VOTING. All qualified registered overseas voters are kindly reminded to PRE-ENROLL from 20 March 2025 to 07 May 2025 to enable them to cast their vote in this historical event in Philippine Elections.

The overseas election period will be from April 13, 2025 (local time) to May 12, 2025 (7PM Philippine Standard time).
