As part of its Gender and Development Program and in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known in Brazil as Outubro Rosa(Pink October), the Philippine Embassy in Brasília, Brazil held a seminar on breast cancer awareness and prevention for the Filipino Community in Brasília at the chancery on October 29. The seminar was attended by members of the Filipino Community, mostly women, and some Brazilian guests. 

The Philippine Embassy in Brasilia, together with the other members of the ASEAN Committee in Brasilia (ACB), celebrated the 50^th Founding Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in a simple ceremony held at the Embassy of Thailand on 29 August 2017.
