The Office of His Most Reverend Excellency, Dom Giovanni d'Aniello, Apostolic Nuncio and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Brazil, in cooperation with the Embassy of Timor Leste in Brasilia, organized a Holy Mass for the victims of typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) on November 28 at the chapel of the Nunciature.

The government of Brazil made another pledge of US$150,000.00 as donation to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) through the UNCHR on November 14. This was in addition to the US$150,000.00 donation earlier pledged by Brazil through UNICEF for the victims.

Philippine Ambassador to Brazil Eva G. Betita, as Chairperson of the ASEAN Committee in Brasilia (ACB), led the group of Ambassadors in visiting Centro Universitário de Anápolis (UniEvangélica), one of the largest universities in Goias, Brazil, and the DAIA industrial zone in Anapolis on October 23.

The Philippines, represented by the Philippine Ambassador to Brazil Eva G. Betita, and Vice Consul Eric P. Valenzuela, participated in the 3rd Global Conference against Child Labor held in Brasilia, Brazil from October 08 to 10.

The governments of the Philippines and Brazil conducted the First Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) on Bioenergy Cooperation from October 01 to 03 in Brasilia, Brazil.

As part of the ongoing celebration of the 46th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia, as current Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Brasilia (ACB), hosted the annual ASEAN Food and Cultural Festival on September 14.

The ASEAN Committee in Brasilia (ACB) held an ASEAN Family Day at Brasilia’s Jardim Botanico on August 31.  The Heads of Mission and spouses of Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as the officers and staff of the Embassies, were welcomed by the officers of Jardim Botanico.

The Philippine Embassy in Brasilia participated in the 5^thAgribusiness Immersion Program held in various cities and municipalities in Brazil on August 26 to 30.
