Philippine Ambassador Mario Chan called on Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Thi Kim Hoa at the Chancery of the Embassy of Vietnam on 22 February 2022.

22 February 2022, Brasilia – Philippine Ambassador Mario F. Chan visited Vietnam Ambassador Pham Thi Kim Hoa at the Embassy of Vietnam as tradition among ASEAN diplomats.

Ambassador Pham Thi Kim Hoa and Ambassador Mario F. Chan discussed about the strong bond and the solidarity among the seven (7) member diplomats of the ASEAN present in Brazil namely; Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The Pandemic affected a lot of the social activities of the ASEAN such as ASEAN Food Festival, ASEAN Day, Sports Day, tours in other parts of the Brazil and other get together parties which were shelved last year due to the impact of COVID19 but can resume again. Thus, with the improving health situation in Brazil, the two Head of Missions are hopeful that there will be more engagements among them promoting the ASEAN image, values and potential partnership with Brazil in the future.
