Brasilia PE showcase the best of Filipino craftsmanship at 13th International Fair of Embassies
The Philippine Embassy in Brasilia participated in the annual bazaar, “13th Feira Internacional das Embaixadas,” held at the Expobrasilia, Parque da Cidade, in Brasilia on 10 November 2018. The bazaar was organized by the Grupo dos Cônjuges dos Chefes de Missão (GCCM) (Group of the Spouses of the Chiefs of Missions) and participated in by the 84 diplomatic missions based in Brazil.
As in the past international bazaars, food and handicrafts from the participating countries were put up on sale and/or display. The proceeds from the sale went to charity. As expected, this year’s bazaar turned out to be a great success. Around 20,000 guests from the government and private sectors attended the affair.
The Philippine Embassy set up two booths to showcase Philippine food and handicrafts and a third booth to promote tourism.
Overall, the event was a great opportunity for the Philippine Embassy to enhance awareness among the Latin American people of the culture of the Filipinos and to create an interest in them to come and visit the country for business and pleasure.
