PH hosts sixth meeting of the year of ASEAN Committee in Brasilia

The Philippines hosted the sixth meeting of the year of the ASEAN Committee in Brasilia (ACB) last 10 October 2018 at the Chancery. This was the third ACB meeting convened under the Chairmanship of Ambassador Marichu Mauro.

The recently concluded ASEAN Day celebration, which was hosted by the Philippines on 27 September 2018, was part of the agenda. The committee, led by Ambassador Mauro, also expressed its sympathies to Indonesia, on account of the successive disasters in Lombok and Sulawesi provinces, and to Vietnam, for the untimely demise of President Tran Dai Quang.

 

After the meeting, lunch featuring the Spanish influence on Philippine cuisine was served to the committee at the Official Residence with paella taking center stage as the main dish of the day.
