PH Ambassador to Brazil receives Brazilian Ambassador to the Philippines ahead of bilateral talks
Ambassador Marichu Mauro received on 20 August 2018 at the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia H.E. Rodrigo do Amaral Souza, current Brazilian Ambassador to the Philippines.
Ambassador Mauro and Ambassador Amaral took the opportunity to update each other of bilateral relations ahead of the 4th Philippines - Brazil Bilateral Consultation Mechanism Meeting to be held in the Philippines on 3 September 2018.
Both Ambassadors expressed deep satisfaction at the growing and expanding bilateral relations of their countries. Both are looking forward to the bilateral meeting and agree on the importance of convening regular consultations to ensure sustained cooperation in the context of bilateral, regional and international partnerships.
The Philippines and Brazil have enjoyed 72 years of diplomatic relations since 1946. Both Ambassadors reaffirmed their commitment to elevate the decades-long partnership to an even more dynamic and meaningful level.
Ambassador Mauro capped her meeting with Ambassador Amaral with a special Filipino lunch at the Official Residence of the Philippines.
